Compared to silicone: Silicone can withstand high temperatures exceeding 200°C-far higher than TPE-but it is more costly, difficult to process, and non-recyclable.
Compared to PVC: Standard PVC exhibits poor heat resistance, typically limited to approximately 60–80°C; TPE offers superior overall performance.
Compared to thermoset rubber: Traditional rubbers (such as EPDM) possess greater high-temperature resistance, but they are non-recyclable and difficult to process.
Consequently, for applications within the 90–135°C range, TPE satisfies performance requirements while offering excellent cost-effectiveness and recyclability, making it an ideal choice for many medium-temperature operating environments.
